About Us

Born next to the San Gabriel Mission and raised in Pasadena, Robert Ell is a true California native! Ever since he was a little kid, ‘Robbie’ was an everyday creative. From building his own versions of Disneyland attractions like Peter Pan and Pirates of the Caribbean in his parents’ garage to performing marionette shows with Clippo the Clown in small town Sierra Madre, ‘Robbie' was always an entertainer! His work in local theater led him to his first professional job as a child actor and understudy in Cause Celebre at the Ahmanson Theatre starring Anne Baxter and Dorothy McGuire. From that point on he was hooked on putting on a show!

After graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Business he pursued his dreams of working in the business of show and became a talent executive and producer for television news programs associated with celebrity and film. Robert spent 30 years in the entertainment industry working at E! Entertainment Television as well as various other networks from AOL to Starz. In his career as talent executive and producer he produced many hours of programming and also interviewed hundreds of celebrities from Steven Spielberg to Julia Roberts. He was the first broadcast journalist to ever interview Quentin Tarantino! With all the success came amazing opportunities to ENTERTAIN!!

Creating parties and celebrating life became his next love. From tea for two to parties for over 400 people, Ell turned his entertaining visions into reality! After a series of personal tragedies Robert left the business to take care of family and to begin the soul searching. One of the only things that made him smile was GLITTER!! 

And so the concept was born!!  An old soul, Robert found his happy place creating greeting cards and gift boxes while living at the Castle Green in Pasadena, a historic landmark Victorian hotel built in 1898.

Today, Robert hand glitters all of his creations from this magical place in hopes that his product can find its way to others that are searching for their happy place as well. The line launched with gift boxes based on vintage images that he has collected over the years. The company launched officially in 2018 in hopes that these whimsical creations would trigger happiness in all who find them.

Ell hopes this will grow into a company with a supportive environment where all employees and customers can pursue and fulfill their creative dreams together.  His goal is to inspire the gift of giving, create a smile and help people entertain!
